CPD Terms Of Sale


Payment Terms: Our standard terms are 1%10th/net end of month.

Late Fee: A late fee of 1.5% or $5, whichever is greater, will be assessed to orders that extend past their due date. Accounts 30 days past due will be notified and changed to COD.

Minimum Order: CPD has no minimum order. However to receive free freight on eligible orders the minimum is $150.00. (See Freight Policy below.)

Freight Policy: CPD provides a weekly free ship day to qualified customers. Once you have become a qualifying customer, you will be assigned a free designated weekly stock order (WSO) day. To qualify for that free ship day, you must submit via E-Zone, fax or e-mail your order to CPD. Orders phoned in will not be eligible for free shipping. CPD does not pay freight on back orders or emergency orders.

NOTE: Engines, short blocks, transaxles, wholegoods, and/or any type of oil do not qualify for the WSO.

Order Fulfillment Possibilities: CPD has two warehouses available for the majority of our lines. If a part of your order cannot be filled in your primary warehouse, we can ship from one of our other warehouses with your permission, provided we have the part. All emergency orders will be shipped from another CPD facility if one has the part. There are no additional charges other than having normal shipping charges from both locations. If you choose this option indicate so on your PO by adding the line “Ship from any location”.

Emergency Orders/Drop Shipments: Emergency orders and/or drop shipments are available at no additional charge from CPD. Emergency orders and drop shipments are shipped directly to the customer from the factory. The only time there would be an additional charge is if the factory has a charge which will then be passed on to you. The method of delivery and charges incurred is your responsibility. You’ll need to indicate any special shipping arrangement other than UPS ground when placing the order with CPD.

(i.e. All UPS Special Shipping, Spee Dee Delivery Service, Federal Express, etc.)

Backorders: Backorders are shipped with your next order, or after the part has been available for 6 working days, or as otherwise instructed. CPD does not pay for freight on backorders.

Credit Card Orders: We accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover Card. Credit card orders do not qualify for cash discounts.

Returned Goods Policy: Our goal is to make sure the part you order is correct from the start. Here is a brief overview of our return policy.

RGA requests must be submitted through E-Zone.

1.) $25 minimum amount for return per line item. Copy of invoice required.>

2.) No return on electrical parts.
3.) No return on Net items. (tools , literature, etc.)
4.) 10 day time limit from date on packing list.
5.) All RGA’s are subject to a 15% restocking fee.
6.) Parts must be unused and in original and resaleable package.
7.) The RGA number must be on the package and on the copy of the packing list.
8.) No return on take-off parts other than crankshaft exchange program and remove and adds. See specific company programs for more details.
For a complete explanation of the RGA program, please ask one of CPD’s customer service representatives to send you a copy for your records.

Annual Returns: Annual returns are typically allowed 1 (one) time per year and in the Fall. The return requires you to purchase $2 (two) dollars for each $1 (one) dollar returned. CPD standard terms apply. Not allowed to be combined with any other on-going CPD program. Notification will be posted on E-Zone.

Financing Programs: CPD works with several prominent floor plan providers and consumer financing companies on some of our whole goods lines. If you would like to participate in any of these programs contact your CPD salesperson for more details.

Yellow Pages: When you are associated with a manufacturer that has a Yellow Page program, CPD will automatically set you up with a Yellow Page ad. We then bill you back for that charge.

Co-Op Advertising Allowance: CPD will aggressively support your advertising efforts. Allocation of your co-op dollars will be based on your CPD purchases. To avoid any delay or loss in co-op funds, prior approval of your claim is mandatory.

Schools/Updates: CPD believes in continuing education and the benefit of updates from our major suppliers. It is the responsibility of the dealer to sign-up for updates in your area. There will be an annual education fee to cover the cost of the updates. (The charge doesn’t cover 4 day schools)
